This handmade glass pendant features Kokopelli, the iconic flute-playing figure known across many Indigenous cultures of the Southwest. A bringer of music, fertility, and good fortune, Kokopelli dances across this piece in bright desert-inspired colors and bold contrast.

I start by blowing out a small glass bubble, then I draw Kokopelli’s outline directly onto it with molten white glass. Inside those lines, I paint with contrasting colors, each one melted in carefully until it flows just right. Once the design’s finished, I bring it all back together into a solid form and layer a clear front over the top, giving it depth and that smooth glass dome.

This piece carries its own rhythm and motion, a little echo of the desert wind and Kokopelli’s song, shaped through flame and color instead of flute and note.
